Name Dropping

I have found in my short 22 years of life, that of all the things that can be used to your benefit, name dropping works!!

Just this week, I had 2 friends contact me with job opportunities they had heard about. In one situation, the friend's brother was the point person for the job, so obviously saying I was a friend of his sister got me immediately in the door!

In the other case, a friend had heard of a job opening randomly, and let me know. I then contacted another friend of mine who had previously been employed at this same place, she told me to use her and her husband's names as references or somewhere in a cover letter, which went over VERY well when I dropped my application off today.

One of the jobs is the Regional Manager for the Special Olympics, and the other is Director of Communications for Mt. Paran Christian School in Marietta.

Long story short, use every single contact you know of to help you out, whether that be in search for a job, or other endeavors.
